Macuahuitls

These are handmade wooden macuahuitls. Macuahuitls are traditional Mesoamerican close-combat weapon closely associated with the Aztecs, made as a wooden club or paddle inspired by historic macuahuitl forms lined with obsidian blades along the edges. Derived from Nahuatl, the word roughly translates to "hand-wood."
