This skill symbol is from Chichen Itzá, from the Mayan culture. This skull represents our ancestors and those who have passed on. Death, as it is known today, is the counterpart of life. Death is happening daily, all around us. For example, our cells are dying and being reborn daily. The vegetables and animals we eat daily give their lives to give us life and energy. In our ancient philosophy, “from death comes life and from life comes death.”
